We feel that there may be several questions that may be revolving in the minds of the delegates. We seek to help those delegates by answering most of the Frequently Asked Questions. 

When is DAV Peace Summit being held?

DAV Peace Summit will be held on 21st and 22nd November.

Where will the conference be held?

The conference sessions will be hosted by DAV Public School, Sector-6, Cuttack.

How much is the registration fee? What does it include? 

The registration fee for DAV Peace Summit is INR 500 which includes delegate kit, breakfast, lunch and juice for both the days of council session.

How can I register? 

Registration can be done online by visiting the "Applications" tab on the website and filling the application form.Registration fees can be paid through online transfer. The details of account transfer will be updated soon.

Is DAV Peace Summit for university students or school students?

School students from Class 8 onward, college and university students can apply for the summit.

I have never participated in a Model UN conference before. Can I still apply?

You are welcome to participate in the conference even if you have never participated in Model UN conferences in the past. The Secretariat will entertain all sorts of queries and clear all the doubts you might have.

Can I avail accommodation and transport facilities during the conference? 

No accommodation and transport facilities will be provided.


 

Why did I not get the country/party and the council I applied for?

We try our best to allot according to the applicant’s preference, but in case the country/party has already been allotted, or the council is already filled up, another country/party or another council is allotted. So early application is always recommended.

Is there a dress code for the conference?

Yes. All participants are expected to dress formally or in their school uniforms.

How do I begin research?

You will find the study guides and Rules of Procedure on the page as soon as it is uploaded.
Your first step should be to research the country that you have been allocated, its foreign policy and its global stand on the agenda. A mock session will be organized on the first day of the Peace Summit to explain the Rules of Procedure.

Are electrical appliances (laptop/ cell phones etc) allowed on campus?

Electrical Appliances are allowed. But the Secretariat or the Organizing Committee will not be responsible in case of loss of any private property.

Will internet access be provided?

No internet access will be provided during or in-between the councils. Moreover, using internet when the session is in process is prohibited.
